It's not that I need an excuse to
have Phil Keaggy on the show but he had a concert on the night of July
30th, so we arranged to have him on the show that day. As usual, Phil brought
goodies to listen to. This time he brought songs from an upcoming,
not-even-yet-titled project expected out in the Fall. |
 |
She's been to the show several times
as Russ' wife, but July 9th was the first real visit for Tori Taff. A
gifted writer, Tori authored "100 Greatest Songs in Christian Music".
It's a wonderful book with some behind-the-scene stories of some of your
favorite songs. Check it out! She's got a great wit and a great laugh! |

WOW... it's been a while since we've
had a guest in the studio. I'm glad it could be Glenn Garrett. He was a
recording artist with the Benson company when this show began in 1980. He's back
with his first project in about 10 years. Check out
www.glenngarrett.com to find out more
about Glenn and the CD, "Mysteries and Dreams".

A very full morning on March 26th.
Our long-time artist and friend Billy Sprague was leaving Nashville after
25 years and taking a job as a worship leader in Colorado. Many of Billy's
long-time friends were on hand. Look for Gordon Kennedy, Pam Mark Hall,
and Phil Keaggy in the picture. Phil (and his beautiful wife
Bernadette) stayed after the gang left. Phil even played a song or two for
us! |
 |
OK... bad art! But Shelley (the
picture-taker) was gone that day and I DID want to make sure Margaret Becker
received some sort of credit for being there that day. It was March 12th and we
celebrated Margaret's latest book, "Coming Up For Air". A
wonderful read! Learn how not to burn yourself out! Always a great time with
Margaret on the air. |

I love this woman! Chonda Pierce
had just had her birthday the day before and was to release her latest
project, "A Piece of My Mind". It was great to have Chonda's
husband David in the studio with us. Visit her web site at:

Last summer we had the absolute
privilege of having Chuck Girard on the show. Time ran out very quickly
and we agreed on a "Part Two". Chuck was back on Feb 19th. Silly us... we
thought we could finish Chuck most interesting life story within the confines of
a second show! I guess this means he'll just have to keep coming back.... fine
with me!!! |

For years I've been hearing about a
movie Steve Taylor was working on. FINALLY, it's here! "The Second
Chance" released in theatres all over the US on this week. The movie
stars Michael W. Smith (who called in on his way to church). Steve is an
incredible talent: artist, producer, director, writer, and who-knows-what-else!
I am proud to know him. -Feb

I recently heard this young lady
singing in a pizza place down on Music Row here in Nashville. She's no stranger
to our show, but it's been a while since we've had her on. Jeni Varnadeau
is a joy!... with an incredible voice! Visit her web site:

I love what this guy has and is
doing. Jason Houser and some other very gifted singer/songwriters have
written songs (actually put tunes) to scripture. I don't mean they written songs
about scriptures, they have actually taken the Word and put music to it.
What a great way to memorize scripture! Check out the SEEDS web
site: www.seedsmusic.com.

I love this gang! It's Avalon!
They are still as passionate about what they do as when they began ten years
ago. We featured their 7th studio recording, "STAND". We even
played favorites songs requested by the group including some Bryan Duncan, 2nd
Chapter of Acts, Margaret Becker, and The Archers. Visit
www.avalonlive.com
to hear more about the latest from Avalon. Pic l-r: Greg and Janna
Long, me, Melissa Greene (who announced she's 11 weeks pregnant!),
and Jody McBrayer.

I was just noticing it's been a few
years since our last visit from Ginny Owens... shame on me! What a
special lady! She brought her latest CD, "Long Way Home" as well
as a special project, "Live From new Orleans"- also released last
year. Check out Ginny's web site at:
www.ginnyowens.com. Please also take time to visit her foundation, The
Fingerprint Imitative at:

Another year to have Steve Camp
as our first guest! It's never a boring time with Steve in the studio. He's been
recording now and a part of Christian music for over 25 years. Visit Steve's website at
