On May 1, 2005, we celebrated our 25th year on the air in Nashville. Many old friends dropped by. Others called in. We played some songs we haven't played in many years and enjoyed some live music as well thanks to Jim Cole, The Glory Bugles, and Phil Keaggy.

Jim Cole sings
"People Get Ready"
Eddie DeGarmo talks about DeGarmo & Key. This clip begins recalling a phone-in Eddie did to the show sometime in the 80's.
Rebecca St. James
I was thrilled to see Rebecca at the celebration. She would have been 2 years old when the show began.
Phil Keaggy and Russ Taff on the phone with Steve Camp. This clip begins with us talking about the 1985 gathering of Christian artists and the recording of the song, "Do Something Now".
Phil and Jim sing "Rejoice". This song was actually requested by Jim. As a young believer, he sang this early Keaggy classic in his own concerts.
The Glory Bugles sing "Peter's Rooster". A new favorite from these old friends.

One thing I have learned over the years is that I have trouble throwing things away! I found a bunch of old pictures, posters, and other Christian music memorabilia. Shelley's came in early and set all of this up.
Phil Keaggy and Rick Cua visit "the wall".
Speaking of Phil and Rick, I found this old concert poster from 21 years ago. This was the night I met Phil for the first time. If you listen to the show (archived above), you will hear Rick tell the story of he and his family moving to Nashville and this tour's part in it.
Gordon Kennedy, a member of Whiteheart when I met him years ago, and still very gifted songwriter and good friend stands in the studio with Rebecca St. James. Rebecca is signing a very special book everyone signed and gave to me later.
Jim Cole prepares to sing on the air. Note the Carman poster on the left.
Jim sings "People Get Ready"
Phil Keaggy plays. Don Aaron (Nashville Police department spokesman) and artist Gary Pigg stand by.
Phil, Rebecca, Gordon and me.
Steve Camp called in. He was on the phone because of a sick child. Phil and Russ Taff talked to Steve as we recalled the song, "Do Something Now". You can see a portion of this segment above. By the way, that's my son Andy in the background.
A studio full of folks as I talk to Gordon Kennedy and Don Aaron.
Jim Cole, Gordon Kennedy, and Rick Cua watch the show.
Harry Chapman is a very popular TV show host and news anchor here in Nashville. I am also proud to call him my friend. We've been friends a long time. His oldest son Whit was an intern on the show when he was in high school in the early 90's. Today Whit is a youth pastor in Georgia. This is a family I am fortunate to know.
Jim Cole and Phil Keaggy talk about the good old days.
It is always great to see Rebecca St James. Check the clip above to see this interview. Rebecca is a blessing to me and our listeners. I think the world of her.
More talk in the studio. Russ Taff's wife Tori came by too.
The Glory Bugles render as only they can. Experience the song for yourself in the video clips above.
The Bugles still at it. Phil obviously enjoying the song.

This is the space where Gary Chapman's picture WOULD have gone, but he didn't show (altho he DID call in!).
Here she is!.... Wonderwoman!!! This is Shelley. She's been a part of The Brian Mason Show for almost 8 years now and is the reason the show runs as smoothly as it does each Sunday.
